John Adams Middle School4

I went to John Adams for 6th grade and I hated it! Bullying was a serious problem there that teachers didn't not care about. I got bullied a lot and I would tell the teachers but they pretended they cared but really they didn't. Lots of fights also happen with students and teachers. I always see others not obeying the teachers and literately fighting them. The students there are disrespectful to others and seem that they don't care about learning. There would be so much drama that teachers couldn't handle their own class. I heard John Adams used to be a good school back then but it has changed over the years. Now its just simply awful.

I have gone to john adams for 6th,7th,about 3/4 of 8th grade.I ended up having to leave the school do to my life being threatened and I was being bullied, and in the nurse office about 1 to 2 times every week. The social workers, security guard, and principle said they would do something but never go threw with it,or they wouldn't help me at all. They would have assemblies about how bulling was bad and how you should tell them. But when you told them they won't care. All of the students who go there change and fights happen everyday. One of my best friends ended up betting up a kid that said a joke about my friend's current girlfriend. This school if awful and needs to be called on.

They have a very poor systems for dealing with parent communications. IEPs are not fallowed. Their policy for teacher and student bulling is not taken serious .

I attended JA for 6th and 7th grade and I must say that they gave me the best foundation I could have ever hoped for. The school is clean and the students were respectful and open-minded. The teachers were fun and inviting. We took great field-trips to interesting, exciting destinations. The school provides some interesting classes like Family and Consumer Sciences, Industrial Tech., and Beginning Spanish/Spanish I as well as art classes. I really missed all of that when I moved to Florida to an allegedly "A" school full of thugs and people who just did not care. There's really an atmosphere of scholarship and a focus on "doing your best." I really love this school.

My son has had his worst school year ever since moving to this school, not just with grades, but with his confidence as well. As a parent I am very unsatisfied with the lack of comunication from the teachers. I would not recoment this school.

I've had 2 kids attend JA. The teachers, nurse & staff are welcoming, it's safe, and while very diverse with upper, middle and some lower classes, does not have problems like another school. It's important to treat all kids equal--no special treatment & all goes well. The school redid the entry for safety, so visitors enter via the office. Staff care. I've chaperoned dances & they're fun. Onehad an issue w/4 kids breaking rules & it was immediately addressed--parents phoned & the rest didn't know it happened. They could do better w/communication from the SCHOOL-emails with weekly what's going on. I think the teachers miss the "team" approach they've had in past, which was changed due to budget cuts, which made it easier for smaller teams to plan field trips, etc. The leadership will need to change that to have leads to help that transition. New principal Sept 2010 who's open to ideas, relates to the kids, and just sent out the news via a link to parents who gave the school emails, so that is great and will only improve. Knowing what I know...I'm glad my kids go here

I attend this school and it is amazing! I've been here since the 6th grade. The teachers are nice and rarely pound on the homework. There's is so much extra to do there too. It's so cool!

I attended John Adams for part of 6th grade and all of 7th grade and it is by far one of the best schools I've ever been to. The teachers are wonderful, the school is beautiful, and a majority of the students are nice. The curriculum is also good. They have a wide selection of extracurricular activites also.
